What is a landing page? Why will it help you sell more?
A landing page is a single-page website that focuses absolutely all of the user’s attention on a specific product or a free offer.
Focusing on one goal (conversion)
Picture a landing page as a specialised salesperson who takes a potential customer by the hand. It doesn’t show them side galleries or other departments. It keeps them 100% focused on one specific task – sending an enquiry or downloading a file.
The landing page is a key concept when you invest in Google Ads (paid search) or paid posts on Facebook and Instagram. When users click on an ad, that’s exactly where they land.
The key difference: a landing page vs a “normal” website
A regular home page lets users “wander around” its sections (About us, Services, Pricing). But a wanderer like that can easily leave and never come back. A well-planned landing page, on the other hand, cuts out distractions. Usually there isn’t even navigation at the top, so the person’s attention stays on a beautiful graphic and the key form. The user can either send an enquiry or close the page.
What makes a great, effective landing page?
- No distractions: No small links, no links to other websites. Everything directs the eye towards the “BUY/Download” button.
- Lightning speed: Internet users today are seriously impatient. A page people reach from an ad must load in seconds, or your money disappears into the void.
- Social proof: Showing well-known brands you work with, certificates and, above all, credible reviews from people you’ve helped with a similar method.
- Clear, money-saving headlines: A simple takeaway: “With us, you’ll save PLN 5,000”. The headline must instantly answer “what’s in it for me?”
Which ads should you use it for?
In today’s fiercely competitive Polish online market, Facebook Ads or AdWords campaigns that use dedicated landing pages collect leads at up to half the cost of campaigns that send people straight to an ordinary knowledge base or an outdated contact page.
